Firli Bahuri Et Al 'Thin Ears' Complaints By Greenpeace, MAKI: KPK Used To Read Yasin's Letter, It's Normal

JAKARTA - Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI), Boyamin Saiman, satirized the KPK leadership after reporting Greenpeace Indonesia's laser beam action to the police. For Boyamin, Firli Bahuri as the head of the KPK and other commissioners is anti-critic.

"If this is reported now, this is really a step backwards. The KPK is the leader, yes, the ears are thin (anti-criticism), because if this laser is damaged, what will be the damage," said Boyamin in his statement, Thursday, July 22.

Unlike the previous KPK period. Even though the community has criticized a lot, the KPK leadership is relaxed and doesn't take the issue. Submission of criticism to the KPK is not only verbal, which is worse than laser beaming.

"In the past, the KPK was richly criticized by the community to certain levels, including being covered with a large cloth. Then in the form of having been visited to offer prayers, wearing a tumpeng while reading Yasin and tahlilan letters," said Boyamin.

"Some have even caused friction, until then the KPK has never brought back lawsuits against people who criticize it, both democratically and verbally when people attack verbally," he continued.

The laser beaming action does not cause any damage. Moreover, it does not mean to insult anyone, including the KPK leadership. This is because the action is purely criticizing the KPK's performance.

"Because if you convey your aspirations with yesterday's context, even with the bold and honest expression of dismissing all kinds of things, there have also been many movements in social media for civil society, all kinds of things have happened. And laser insults will not damage anything," said Boyamin.

Therefore, Boyamin hoped that the KPK leadership would withdraw the report. Because, criticism is one way to correct mistakes.

"I hope that the KPK leadership withdraws this report and this case does not develop further. The KPK leadership should realize this is part of the love of the KPK, so immediately withdraw the report," said Boyamin.
