JAMBI - The Team for Arresting fugitives (Tabur) at the Sungai Penuh District Attorney's Office, Jambi, managed to arrest the corruptor Yusuf Sagoro who was on the wanted list (DPO). Yusuf was involved in corruption in the Sungai Penuh City Budget for Fiscal Year 2003, which cost the state IDR 1.2 billion.

Jambi Attorney General's Office Head, Lexy Fatharani, said that the arrest of DPO Yusuf was carried out on Monday, July 19 yesterday at his residence in Simpang Empat Tanjung Tanah Village, Danau Kerinci District, Kerinci Regency, Jambi Province.

The reconnaissance and arrest of Yusuf Sagoro was carried out based on the memorandum of the Special Crimes Division of the Sungai Penuh District Attorney Number: ND-09/L.5.13.4/Fu.3/07/2021, regarding the Request for Assistance in the Arrest of the convict Yusuf Sagoro who already had DPO status. .

Prior to the arrest, the Sungai Penuh District Attorney's Intelligence Team had been conducting surveillance since July 9, 2021, where information was obtained that the DPO had returned to Indonesia from Malaysia, precisely in Simpang Empat Tanjung Tanah Village, Danau Kerinci District.

Then based on this information, the Sungai Penuh Prosecutor's Intelligence began to look for information and conduct surveillance. On July 19, 2021, at around 12.30 WIB, the Tabur team made an arrest.

Now the DPO in the name of Yusuf Sagoro Bin Sagoro will be immediately put into the Class II detention center in Sungai Penuh to undergo a legal process.
