Cremation Of The Body In Jakarta Reaches IDR 45 Million, Deputy Governor Riza Patria: Don't Set Unreasonable Tariffs!

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria reminded the managers of cremation sites not to seek profit during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The reason is, in a difficult situation like today, the tariff for cremation of the bodies of COVID-19 patients in Jakarta is set at a high price of Rp. 45 million.

"Determine a reasonable and affordable tariff for the benefit of the community at large. Don't set an unreasonable or excessive price," said Ariza - Riza Patria's nickname - at Dharma Jaya RPH, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 20.

According to him, the COVID-19 pandemic should help each other to others in need. Not used for personal gain.

Therefore, in order to make it easier for Jakarta residents who will cremate their bodies, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government intends to prepare a place for cremation of bodies.

However, Riza has not been able to divulge further regarding the discourse.

"DKI really intends to prepare a cremation place, the concept and place and so on. So that it can provide cheap and good opportunities for families for the benefit of the community," said Riza Patria.
