DPR To Cut Sacrifices Tomorrow Morning, Distribution Is Projected To Avoid Crowds

JAKARTA - The Secretary General of the DPR RI, Indra Iskandar, said that the slaughter of the Eid al-Adha sacrificial animals in the parliament will be carried out tomorrow morning, Wednesday, July 21.

"Yesterday's update, there were 13 cows, 18 goats, I don't know if there will be more additions," Indra told reporters, Tuesday, July 20.

Indra said the method of cutting the qurban would be greatly simplified during the COVID-19 pandemic. Of course, with strict health protocols.

"It's not like last year. The procession of all cuts is carried out by a professional third party with strict health protocols. Because this involves responsibilities that have been carried out," he said.

Indra said that this information on the sacrifice had been submitted long before the Emergency PPKM. So, continue to carry out according to strict health protocols.

Meanwhile, the distribution of qurbani has been projected to the underprivileged and very vulnerable communities around the DPR, especially in the Palmerah area, Kebayoran Lama.

"There are nodes that we have projected later. The nodes will come and we will help bring the meat that is ready to RT-RT points in Palmerah and Kebayoran Lama," said Indra.

Most of the sacrificial animals are donations from the leadership of the DPR, MPR, DPD and factions.

"So I don't think there are many who come. Those from the factions usually don't come, just deliver. Only a few committees and cutters are hired professionally," Indra explained.

The implementation of the sacrifice will be carried out under several conditions, including:

1. Spraying disinfectant into the mosque room

2. Slaughter and enumeration are handed over to a special professional butcher, so that no committee is involved.

3. Checking body temperature below 37.3 butchers and meat choppers

4. Butchers and slaughterers of sacrificial animals wear long sleeves

5. Wearing a mask

6. Wearing gloves

7. Prepare hand washing soap

8. prepare hand sanitizer

9. Distribution is carried out by drop-off to each recipient group, so that there is no crowd at the slaughtering location

10. Not inviting officials to the opening ceremony except for the victims.
