JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has budgeted Rp604 billion for the cash social assistance (BTS) program for residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the cash distribution would be carried out tomorrow.

Anies explained that based on data from the DKI Provincial Government, there were 1,844,833 people who were included in the list of BST recipients. Around 1 million residents will get it from the DKI Provincial Government, while around 837 thousand others will get it from the Central Government through the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The former Minister of Education and Culture also explained that later there would be assistance distributed by Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya.

"We are in Jakarta, the Forkompinda is compact, using the same data, the same vaccination, the same target, the social assistance data reference is the same, so the targets do not coincide," he said.
