Second Day Of Implementation Of 100 Blocking Points Claimed To Reduce Mobility By 50 Percent

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya claims that community mobility has decreased on the second day of implementing 100 isolation points in the Jakarta area and its surroundings. This decrease is based on the level of congestion that occurs.

"Compared to yesterday, it's quite sloping if we look at the Google traffic in the application, today there is a decrease of around 40-50 percent," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters on Friday, July 16.

In addition, Yusri said that there were slight changes in the insulation scheme. For example, some insulation points are shifted slightly.

Situational changes that inevitably cause traffic jams. However, the changes were made to prevent people from non-essential and non-critical sectors from entering Jakarta.

"Indeed there is one change from these 100 points, in Pesing Daan Mogot, which was previously (blocked) in Pesing, it was pushed back a little to the ABC intersection. So there was a little buildup. It was evaluated because it looked at the existing situation," he said.

Evidently, with the change on the second day of the implementation of 100 blocking points, the accumulation of vehicles has decreased considerably. In fact, previously the congestion at these points was very severe.

"Other posts have decreased greatly. At most the queues are around 30-50 meters at each post which are indeed crucial points for residents who will try to enter," said Yusri.
