Gibran Rakabuming Raka Positive For COVID-19, Temporary Field Work Conducted Teguh Prakosa

JAKARTA - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka declared himself positive for COVID-19 and is currently undergoing isolation. Even though he is self-isolating, Gibran is still carrying out his usual work routine.

“Earlier, there was coordination about the Emergency Hospital that will be made at the Haji Donohudan Dormitory. So far, the communication has been with the Deputy Mayor (Deputy Mayor Teguh Prakosa)," said the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Solo, Ahyani, as reported by era.id, Friday, July 16.

He revealed that Gibran is also still providing a number of directions to related parties. In addition, Gibran is also scheduled to attend a virtual plenary meeting to discuss the General Policy on Changes to the Temporary Budget Priority Ceiling (KUPA PPAS). Because, according to the rules, Gibran must be present at the meeting.

"Usually the agenda is reading a speech and signing a memorandum of understanding. For the reading of the material, it can indeed be replaced, but for the signing it must be him alone and cannot be replaced. If it is replaced, it must be with a power of attorney," said Ahyani.

But, Ahyani confirmed, Gibran will be present virtually in the plenary meeting agenda at the Solo City DPRD. In this agenda, Gibran is scheduled to read a speech related to the preliminary budget for handling COVID-19 in the city of Solo.

Previously, Gibran declared himself positive for COVID-19 and had asymptomatic status. In a statement submitted online, he stated that he was still actively working and coordinating virtually.

However, the work in the Gibran field was handed over to the Deputy Mayor, Teguh Prakosa.

"For the work in the field, let Mr. Teguh and Mr. Sekda first," he said.
