JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian Parliament, Dedi Mulyadi, has entrusted money to the District Court of Purwakarta Regency, West Java to pay fines for traders and small communities who are in business but violate the Emergency PPKM.

The money that was deposited with the Purwakarta District Court (PN) was temporarily Rp 15 million. This money was given directly by Dedi to the clerk of the Purwakarta District Court, Thursday, July 15.

According to him, the money was part of assistance for coffee shop traders or small traders who were fined for violating the Emergency PPKM in Purwakarta.

"Many have experienced this incident, not just one. Surely many traders have experienced the same thing," said Dedi in a press release quoted by Antara.

He said that small traders who were fined for violating the Emergency PPKM could definitely become a social problem for them. This is because they will be confused about paying the fine, plus the cost of going to the Prosecutor's Office or Court.

"In addition, because they have to pay a fine, they will also be confused about continuing their business because part of their capital is used to pay the fine," said Dedi.

Especially for small traders, let alone paying fines, it will be difficult for them to finance their daily lives. For this reason, Dedi admitted that he took the initiative to help pay fines for small traders who violated the law.

"So I went to the PN (District Court) Purwakarta, deposited bail for the violators, especially the community and small traders," he said.

The security deposit will be paid if there are small traders and small communities who violate the Emergency PPKM.

"I put a security deposit. If there are violators, it can be seen, if the community is small and weak, the fine is paid from the money I deposited. I will deposit Rp. 15 million. Later, if it is less, it can be added," he said.
