JAKARTA - The emergency PPKM made the movement of many people including business actors limited to prevent the massive spread of COVID-19.

Various ways have been done to ensure that the mobility of citizens is suppressed, but few have demonstrated a humanistic attitude accompanied by concrete actions of concern for the residents, including small traders.

This action was exemplified by the Head of the Bogor City PP, Agustian Syach. The video of Agus Syah visiting the traders on the side of the road in Bogor City has gone viral on social media.

"Afternoon, how are you, how is it quiet?" said Agus Syach visiting the merchant.

"Very quiet," replied the female merchant.

"Be patient, yes, the hours are adjusted, it's okay to spend the night, the important thing is not to crowd," the Head of the Satpol PP ordered while giving a gift wrapped in white plastic.

He visited a number of traders. There are sellers of banana molen to satay sellers.

"How are you? Already know the rules, yes, take away. Don't let anyone eat on the spot,” said Agus Syach, also providing assistance.

This trader was surprised to be approached by Kasatpol PP. Due to the emergency PPKM period, all regulations were tightened, including increased supervision.

"Think about what's going on, you know, give a gift," said the man.

These humanistic messages were conveyed by the Head of the Bogor City Police Satpol when meeting with traders. Not only reminding about the rules to prevent corona, this PP Kasatpol strengthens the spirit of the traders.

"This condition is difficult now, God willing, we will both go through this," he said.

Lubuklinggau Mayor Viral

Lubuklinggau Mayor Prana Putra Sohe's video briefing has gone viral on social media. The Mayor of Lubuklinggau emphasized that he would not prohibit traders from selling, but not to cause a crowd.

“We do not prohibit people from selling, which we prohibit crowds. They (traders) are looking for food, not looking for money, if we disperse, if (trade) is wasted, it's a pity," said Lubukinggau Mayor Prana Putra Sohe in a video uploaded to his Instagram account quoted on Wednesday, July 14.

In his briefing, the Mayor of Lubuklinggau asked the officers to act humanely. Officers are asked to understand how to prevent crowds, not prohibit traders from selling.

“I ask that street vendors must be humane. If he doesn't cause a crowd, that's fine. If they cause a crowd, the crowd will be disciplined, not the traders," said the Mayor of Lubuklinggau.

Joint officers are also reminded to tighten surveillance of citizens to comply with health protocols.

"After this assignment at the post, comb those who don't wear masks, please ask for push-ups. As soon as you get on the motorbike, don't wear a mask and ask to get out.

Regarding micro PPKM, the Mayor of Lubuklinggau emphasized that all parties must work together to break the chain of spread of COVID-19.

"For traders, there is no prohibition against selling, but stick to the procedures. I have told the officers in the field to carry out their duties in a humane way. It is the crowd that is disciplined, not the traders," said Prana Putra Sohe in his statement.

The Mayor of Palu Removes Penalties for Merchants

The Government of Palu City, Central Sulawesi has decided to abolish the fine of Rp. 2 million for business actors who are proven to have violated the rules regarding the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM).

Palu Mayor Hadianto Rasyid said that the sanctions for business actors who violated the PPKM rules were replaced with social sanctions.

Business actors who are found to have violated the PPKM rules, he explained, will then be subject to sanctions for providing assistance to residents affected by COVID-19 in Palu City.

"The assistance is up to you, we will arrange it later but it will not be burdensome. It doesn't mean that the sanctions are not considered heavy, then business actors violate a lot," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 14

The Palu City Government, confirmed by Mayor Hadianto, will return the fines that have been collected from business actors who violate PPKM rules.
