Lubang Buaya Village Turns Official Cars Into Ambulances

JAKARTA - Lubang Buaya Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta, has converted an operational service vehicle (KDO) into an ambulance.

The village head of Lubang Buaya, Dede Saefullah, explained that this was done in order to speed up the burial of the bodies of COVID-19 patients in his area.

"This is our initiative to help residents speed up the handling of the burial of corpses," said Dede Saefullah, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 14.

Dede said that the ambulance was on standby 1x24 hours at the Lubang Buaya Village Office along with the scavengers.

Dede added that the officers are also ready to follow up requests for burial and burial requests from residents in need. "The officers who were alerted were complete using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)," said Dede.

He hopes that the presence of the ambulance can maximize services to the community, especially in accelerating the handling of COVID-19 cases in the Lubang Buaya area.

"We are sincere to help residents who are in trouble, this is the only thing we can help others, all postal officers are ready to help until the funeral process is complete," said Dede.
