Biting Wife's Cheek Because Of Jealousy, Men In Tanjungbalai Arrested By Police

MEDAN - A man named Agus Salim alias Rambo (47) was arrested by the police in Tanjungbalai, North Sumatra. Rambo was arrested for molesting his wife by biting her cheek out of jealousy.

The Head of Public Relations of the Tanjungbalai Police, Iptu Ahmad Dahlan, said the assault took place at his home, in Beting Kuala Kapias Village, Teluk Nibung District, Monday, July 1.

At that time, Rambo knew his wife Eliyanti (44) often communicated with other men via cellphone. As a result, a fight broke out between the two.

"(The problem) is that her husband found out that his wife often calls and chats with other men," said Iptu Dahlan, Tuesday, July 13.

A verbal altercation led to torture. The suspect bit his wife's cheek.

"The reported (Agus) pinched the neck of the complainant (Elyanti) with his right hand, then the reported bit bit the right cheek which resulted in abrasions on the right cheek," he explained.

After being injured, Eliyanti reported this incident to the Tanjungbalai Police. The police immediately conducted an investigation and received information that the perpetrator was in the Beting Kuala Kapias Village.

"Then the team personnel went to the crime scene and the suspect was arrested," he said.

The perpetrators were then taken to the Tanjungbalai Police Station for further investigation. Now for his actions, Rambo is a suspect in domestic violence (KDRT).

The suspect was charged with Article 44 Paragraph 1 of Law No. 23/2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence in conjunction with Article 351 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
