DENPASAR - A total of 13 Caucasians in Bali were fined Rp. 1 million each for violating the emergency PPKM health protocol. The 13 Caucasians did not wear masks.

"There have been actions taken as many as 13 foreigners who do not wear masks. The sanction given is a fine of Rp. 1 million which is directly carried out by PPNS from the Satpol PP of the Province of Bali," said Dirpamobvit of the Bali Police, Kombes Harri Sindu Nugroho, Monday, July 12.

The prosecution of Caucasians in Bali was carried out on Sunday, July 11. An emergency PPKM judicial operation was held in the Batubolong Beach area of Canggu, Badung Regency, Bali.

"This place was chosen because there is a lot of information, news and community reports stating that many foreigners in Canggu do not comply with the health protocol rules, so that starting today, patrols will be carried out and at the same time take action against foreigners who do not wear masks," added Kombes Nugroho.

The emergency PPKM judicial operation personnel are a joint team from the Bali Police, Badung Police, North Kuta Police, Satpol PP to Immigration Ministry of Law and Human Rights Bali Regional Office.

Kombes Nugroho asked all foreigners in Bali to respect the rules and comply with health protocols.

"In addition, there are also appeals to non-essential sectors that are still operating on Jalan Batubolong, including apparel shops, swimwear (or) bikini shops, SPA places and facial or beauty clinics, as well as reprimands at restaurants or homes. eats that still receive food on the spot," said Nugroho.
