JAKARTA - Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto said the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia increased by 557 cases. So that in total, there were 25,773 cases and the number of specimens examined reached 11,361.

"We have confirmed positive cases rose by 557, bringing the total to 25,773," said Yurianto in a press conference broadcast on the BNPB YouTube account, Saturday, May 30.

Meanwhile, for patients who recovered, the number increased by 523 people. So that the total reaches 7,015 people. Meanwhile, the number of patients who died has increased by 53 people, bringing the total to 1,573 people.

Furthermore, he detailed, the number of people under monitoring (ODP) currently reaches 47,714 people. Meanwhile, the number of patients under surveillance (PDP) reached 12,832 people.

There are five provinces, up to now, which still show an increase in positive cases. The five regions are East Java, West Java, DKI Jakarta, South Sulawesi and Central Kalimantan. However, the increase in DKI Jakarta and West Java tends to decrease compared to the previous one.

"However, especially for DKI, not all of them come from the administrative area of DKI because we know together with most of our brothers who work abroad and return to their homeland through Soekarno-Hatta Airport," he said.

"It is the government's stipulation that we have to carry out an examination and some of them are positive for COVID-19 confirmation, only the data will be included in the DKI provincial group, but it does not reflect that this is the condition of DKI administration," Yurianto added explaining the situation of increasing cases in Jakarta. The area consists of Aceh, Jambi, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Riau, Maluku and West Sulawesi.
