TULUNGAGUNG - More than 200 motorbikes with non-standard mufflers with loud noises (muffler brong) were caught in a raid held by Satlantas Polres Tulungagung, East Java.

"There are equipment, one of which is a vehicle whose modif does not match the standard, a vehicle whose color does not match the STNK," he said.

Some of the confiscated vehicles were even not equipped with a vehicle certificate. For "bodong" vehicles, they will still be confiscated by the police, while the owner of the vehicle who can show a vehicle registration certificate may bring back his motorbike as long as the exhaust is returned to the factory standard.

He explained, the average offender is a teenager. If found violating again, the police will call the parents of the motorcyclist concerned. Violators will also be penalized for violations and make a statement not to violate again.

In the corner of the Tulungagung Polres Satlantas office which is located on Jalan Attorney General Suprapto, there are dozens of Brong exhausts that have been removed.
