TNI Commander Reminds People To Reduce Mobility To Suppress COVID-19

JAKARTA - TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto reminded all Indonesians to reduce mobility or movement so that close contact does not occur in order to suppress the spread of COVID-19.

"Indeed, reducing close contact is something that is very important for us to carry out in the implementation of emergency PPKM so that it will reduce active cases every day," said the TNI Commander in Yogyakarta, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 9.

According to him, the implementation of the emergency PPKM is to reduce community mobility, so that it is expected to run well.

"Hopefully our efforts to avoid positive cases because of the increasing close contact can be carried out properly and continue to urge the public to avoid close contact," said Marshal Hadi.

Therefore, the TNI Commander asked the public to understand the conditions for handling COVID-19 and jointly control in the field.

The TNI commander and his entourage who also visited the vaccination center at Adisutjipto Air Base Yogyakarta said that the TNI-Polri always support the acceleration of national vaccination by providing places and outlets in the Yogyakarta area in particular and adding health workers so that the target of 1 million per day can be achieved.

"Hopefully in the future we will be tasked with carrying out vaccinations of 2 million per day. Thus, the location and health personnel will be the key to achieving this target," said Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.
