JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said many people entering Jakarta were company employees who were forced to work by their bosses. So, the fault lies with the company's leaders, not the employees.

"So, it is not the employees who are at fault. What is wrong is the employer who keeps ordering them to come to work," said Inspector General Fadil to reporters, Thursday, July 8.

For that reason, Fadil emphasized that he would take action against the skippers who continued to force their employees to work during the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

The pattern of action is also by collecting information on non-essential and non-critical companies that are still operating.

"So the way these members work is that they will conduct investigations at train stations, conduct investigations at blocking points," he said.

After the information is obtained, officers will immediately go to the company together with the Provincial Government (Pemprov). Thus, the company will be dealt with according to existing regulations.

"Once they find out that they come to work even though it is not an essential and critical sector, then this team will immediately go to their office," he asserted.

In fact, up to now, dozens of companies have been involved in violating the Emergency PPKM rules. The process is already at the investigation stage and it remains only to determine the suspect.

"There are 21 companies that have been fingerprinted. We will find out who the suspects are among these skippers," said Inspector General Fadil.
