JABAR - Governor of West Java (Jabar) M Ridwan Kamil asked companies and industries to obey the rules in operating permits and implementing Work From Office (WFO) capacity during the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Java and Bali.
Companies and industries that can operate during Emergency PPKM must have an Industrial Estate Operation and Mobility Permit (IOMKI). WFO capacity must also be adjusted to the sector and applicable regulations.
"Because based on reports that come from the field, dynamics occur. All claim to have IOMKI," said Ridwan Kamil during a video conference of the Coordination Meeting for Changes in WFH/WFO Arrangements in the Essential and Critical Sector with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Antara, Wednesday, July 7 .
Currently, the central government is formulating new regulations regarding proposed regulations for essential and critical sectors. This is to be understood by business owners, especially factories in West Java.
He instructs the officers who carry out inspections to check whether the company or industry has IOMKI. Checks are carried out to ensure that companies and industries that operate follow the Emergency PPKM rules.
“We asked to be shown what IOMKI's electronics looked like, then 50 percent of the WFO factory and the rest at home. We will still carry out inspections and allow companies that already have IOMKI with a capacity of 50 percent," said Ridwan Kamil, who is familiarly called Kang Emil.
According to Kang Emil, his party has asked regional heads in West Java to issue a circular regarding the definition of essential and critical sectors. This is done so that companies and industries understand the Emergency PPKM regulations in carrying out their business activities.
“Yesterday, I concluded that the head of the city/regency area must send a circular about what the essential and critical definitions are. So all of them argue that they all claim to be essential but they are not," he said.
In addition, Kang Emil also asked companies and industries to have a COVID-19 Task Force. Later, the COVID-19 Task Force will be tasked with reporting employees exposed to COVID-19 to the Regency/City Task Force and Provincial Task Force.
"Because based on reports received from the regents of Karawang and Bekasi, they do not have a task force and do not take care of their workers affected by COVID-19," he said.
"Therefore, I emphasize that it is mandatory for the industry to have a task force at each level, especially at the factory," he said.
Kang Emil said all parties must contribute to the success of the Emergency PPKM in suppressing cases of the spread of COVID-19. One of them is by obeying these rules, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
"My hope is that the Emergency PPKM will not be extended because we are not participating," he said.
