Secretary General Of Jokowi's National Secretariat Dedy Mawardi Dies Positive Of COVID-19

JAKARTA - Secretary General of Jokowi's National Secretariat, Dedy Mawardi, has died positive for COVID-19. This was confirmed by the Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM), Beka Ulung Hapsara.

"That's right, Pak Dedy died of COVID-19," said Beka in a short message, Wednesday, July 7.

Dedy died at the hospital today at around 12.00 WIB. When confirmed positive for COVID-19, Dedy was treated at the ICU at Hermina Hospital, Lampung.

Beka said that Dedy's wife, Siti Nur Laila, who was his colleague, was still being treated at the hospital due to exposure to COVID-19.

"Mbak Laila, a member of Komnas HAM 2012-2017 is also being treated for COVID-19," said Beka.

For information, Dedy is also the President Commissioner of PTPN XI. Dedy also served as Director of LBH Bandar Lampung for the first period in 1995-1997. He and his wife also founded a number of NGOs.

This sad news was also conveyed by PDIP politician Budiman Sudjatmiko. In his Twitter account, Budiman recalled his togetherness with Dedy during the New Order era.
