Preventing Office COVID-19 Clusters, Mayor Eri Requires Offices In Surabaya To Deploy Tracing Team

SURABAYA - Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi requires every office in his area to have a tracing team. The goal is to streamline the implementation of tracing in office areas, to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.

"I ask for help for each office to be given a tracer team from its employees. Since we can't do everything ourselves, we need all of them," said Eri Cahyadi during his briefing on Office Tracing Training activities in Surabaya, Monday, July 5.

The activity, which was held by the Surabaya City Government (Pemkot) virtually, was attended by around 900 offices in the city of Surabaya. Eri Cahyadi said that tracing was important to stop the spread of COVID-19, especially in the office environment.

"Ladies and gentlemen, like it or not, this 3T (testing, tracing and treatment) must be done. If there are workmates around you who are exposed, then it must be tracked to find out who the patient's close contacts are," he said.

Eri Cahyadi asked all offices to have tracing team members. Later, the tracer team will be tasked with finding close contacts, if one of the employees is positive for COVID-19.

After finding a close contact, the office tracer officer is required to report it, through the application and contact the local kelurahan or puskesmas. "Then we will do a swab test for those who are in close contact," he said.

The Mayor of Surabaya confirmed that he had prepared a special application called the Mandiri Tracing Dashboard. The goal is to input the results of tracing patients by accessing it via opponentcovid-19.surabaya.go.id.

"There, all the guidelines are complete. If an office is found that does not carry out tracing, it is hoped that they can contact the number 0821-4069-6256," he said.

Not only that, Eri Cahyadi invites all business actors to join hands to solve this world epidemic. He is optimistic that the COVID-19 pandemic can be passed through mutual cooperation.

"This is a difficult choice, it doesn't mean we don't love all of your efforts. But I have to do this because your life is much more important. A joint effort to save our loved ones," said Eri Cahyadi.
