JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) requires prospective passengers to have an exit and entry permit (SIKM) if they want to use the extraordinary train service (KLB) that will depart from and to Gambir Station. This train was operated during the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period.

Travel requirements in the form of SIKM are regulated in DKI Governor Regulation Number 47 of 2020 concerning Limitation of Travel Activities Out and / or Entering the DKI Jakarta Province in Efforts to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19.

In Pergub 47/2020, SIKM can only be issued by the DKI Provincial Government via the corona.jakarta.go.id website. Before administering SIKM, every person or business actor must prepare a number of requirements. The details are a cover letter from the head of the local RT, a health statement letter, a certificate of official travel or working outside the region or a certificate of having a business for entrepreneurs.

Meanwhile, there are additional requirements for everyone outside Jabodetabek who will enter Jakarta. The additional requirement is to have a travel certificate from the sub-district or village in the area of origin and a stamped guarantee letter from the family or RT to be destination in Jakarta.

Prospective passengers who already have SIKM and other documents that have been determined to be complete will be permitted by the COVID-19 Task Force Team at the station to buy train tickets at the counter.

For information, KLB cannot be used by just anyone. People who are allowed to use outbreaks are health, defense and security service workers, economic function services, emergency medical trips for seriously ill or dead patients, and the immediate family of accompanying patients.

Then, Indonesian citizens who return from abroad, such as students, migrant workers, food suppliers, and ship crews (ABK) are also allowed to use this transportation service.

In addition, government officials such as the State Civil Service (ASN), TNI, Polri, BUMN employees, business institutions, entrepreneurs, and non-governmental organizations are allowed to use KLB, as long as their activities are still related to handling COVID-19.

To be able to purchase these tickets, prospective passengers are also required to complete the requirements according to the COVID-19 Task Force Circular. These requirements include showing a letter of negative COVID-19 test results, a letter of assignment from the company, KTP or other valid identification, and notifying the itinerary to be carried out.

Every passenger who will use KLB is also required to wear a mask during the trip, and have a body temperature below 38 degrees Celsius. If the requirements are complete, prospective passengers report to the posts available at the ticket sales station to submit files and file verification.
