Bogor Emergency COVID-19, IPB Girls Dormitory Becomes Isolation Place

IPB Women's International Dormitory has been activated to become the Bogor City/Antara City COVID-19 Isolation Center

JAKARTA - The Bogor City COVID-19 Handling Task Force has added an isolation center by activating the IPB Women's International Dormitory at Dramaga Bogor as well as settlement-based isolation houses to prepare beds for the growing number of COVID-19 patients.

The Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, said that the IPB Women's International Dormitory in Dramaga was used for the COVID-19 Isolation Center in collaboration with IPB.

According to Bima Arya, the International Women's Dormitory of IPB has 92 rooms and in it there are 184 beds.

In the female dormitory, the facilities are considered worthy of being a COVID-19 Isolation Center, because there are toilets in the rooms, there are lifts and stairs, the air circulation is good, and the yard is spacious. Bima Arya visited the Women's International Dormitory, on Saturday, July 3, and looked at the condition of the rooms.

Head of the Bogor City Health Office, Sri Nowo Retno, who accompanied Bima Arya when he visited the IPB International Dormitory, said the five-story dormitory has 92 rooms and 184 beds. "The temporarily prepared health workers are two doctors and six nurses," he said as quoted by Antara, Sunday, July 4.

The Bogor City Government has also prepared and activated several residential-based isolation houses in the city of Bogor.

3. Multipurpose Room RW 10 Tegal Gundil Village, North Bogor (10 beds),

4. Munasah Hall, Cimahpar Village, North Bogor (20 beds),

5. South Bogor BLK Building (12 beds),

6. South Bogor Agribusiness Terminal Building (14 beds),

7. Sempur Village Guesthouse (10 beds),

8. Madrasah in Sindangrasa, East Bogor (25 beds),

9. Baranangsiang Village Office Hall, East Bogor (15 beds),

10. Katulampa Village Office Hall, East Bogor (10 beds).

10. Sukasari Village Office Hall, South Bogor (10 beds).

According to Bima Arya, positive patients with COVID-19 without symptoms and mild symptoms who require an isolation place can contact the nearest Puskesmas in each sub-district in Bogor City.

Previously, Bima Arya said, Bogor was in an emergency with COVID-19. For this reason, he asked the public to implement strict health protocols.
