JAKARTA - Actor Anjasmara Prasetya visited the residence of the daughter of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno, Rachmawati Soekarnoputri to say goodbye. Anjasmara also took her late mother to her final resting place.

Anjasmara admitted that she was surprised to hear the sad news of Rachmawati's death from her biological sister. Because, not long ago he was still communicating with his mother continued.

"I was shocked. I just heard this morning at around half past eight, I learned from my younger brother. I last communicated around the beginning of June. I had the chance to meet him, continue to talk about all kinds of things," he told reporters, Saturday, July 3rd.

Anjasmara admitted that she was very lucky to be adopted by Rachmawati. In Anjasmara's eyes, Rachmawati is a mother figure who loves her children very much.

"She is a mother who loves all her children. I am very lucky to be adopted by her, as one of her children who is quite close. She loves all of them very much, loves very much," he said.

A few days earlier, Anjasmara admitted that she had a feeling. He was surprised because suddenly he missed his mother continued.

"I actually had a hunch, I really wanted to meet you. But because I'm busy, I thought I'd see you later," he said.

Anjasmara also asked for prayers from all the people so that Rachmawati would be better off in her grave.

Rachmawati died at the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto, Central Jakarta, at around 06.15 WIB.

Having the full name Diah Pramana Rachmawati Soekarno, she was born on September 27, 1950. According to reports circulating, Rachmawati died due to exposure to COVID-19 after she was hospitalized.

It is known that during her lifetime, Rachmawati was Deputy Chair of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees and was directly under the position of General Chair Prabowo Subianto since last September 2020.

This sad news was also conveyed by the Chairperson of the DPP Gerindra Sufmi Dasco through his Twitter account. "Sad news, Inalillahi wa inalillahi rojiun. On July 3, 2021, at approximately 06.45 WIB. Mrs. Rachmawati Soekarnoputri has died at the RSPAD," he said.

Deputy Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Board of Trustees, Fadli Zon, also expressed his condolences.
