Polda Metro Jaya Forms A Special Team To Monitor Oxygen Prices And Supply In Jakarta

JAKARTA - A special team was formed by Polda Metro Jaya to oversee the circulation and sale of oxygen cylinders in the Jakarta area. The Police want to anticipate the hoarding of oxygen cylinders.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that with this supervision he hoped that the supply of oxygen cylinders in Jakarta would be safe. Yusri also threatened parties who played cheating.

"We've formed a team to monitor them all, don't let them get stuck or try to hoard them," said Yusri, Thursday, July 1.

"This is a confirmation that we convey that please those who try to play, we will process it if we find it. We will take strict action against all of them."

Apart from hoarders, Polda Metro Jaya will also take action against retail owners who sell oxygen cylinders at high prices. The threat was revealed by the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Auliansyah Lubis.

"I especially appeal to these retailers not to play around with trying to save or trying to increase prices, we will monitor it," said Auliansyah, Wednesday, June 30.

According to Auliansyah, the Regional Police have coordinated with producers and distributors of oxygen cylinders. The results of the coordination agreed that there would be no increase in the price of oxygen cylinders in the midst of high demand.

"We from the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya, especially in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya, will take action if we find them in the area," added Auliansyah.
