Jakarta Update: PPKM Applies, Polda Metro Blocks Sudirman Line Early Today

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya officers have begun to conduct isolation at 63 locations along with the implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) this Saturday until July 20.

One of them is at the Senayan Roundabout, Central Jakarta, joint officers from the Polda Metro Jaya and the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) have begun to close Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to carry out insulation starting at 00.00 WIB.

From on-site monitoring, every driver who will cross Jalan Sudirman is checked by joint officers from the destination to the needs of road users.

If the driver fulfills conditions such as the purpose of going home to return home or for transportation such as taxis, online motorcycle taxis and online taxis with certain needs such as delivering food or picking up, or security officers, or health workers may continue the journey.

Officers will turn back if they find a driver who does not meet the requirements.

The Polda Metro Jaya has sealed off 63 exit and entry points for Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jadetabek) related to the Java-Bali Emergency Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) policy.

"There are 63 points that we are guarding, consisting of 28 points on city limits and toll roads, then 21 points for mobility restrictions in locations prone to violations, which are still running," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo in Jakarta. , quoted by Antara.

The blocking will take effect starting Saturday at 00.00 WIB. Individuals who are still allowed to work outside the home are only those who work in essential sectors.
