Police Investigate Video Uploader Of Rise Of Pesugihan Tumbal Berondong In Pondok Indah

JAKARTA - The Kebayoran Lama Metro Police will investigate the uploader of a video on social media with a narration of alleged social gathering at Pondok Indah for giving popcorn or the practice of "pesugihan" in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta.

"We are still investigating," said Chief of the Kebayoran Lama Metro Police Commissioner Donni Bagus Wibisono, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 1.

However, Donni has not provided details whether the woman in the video will be immediately summoned for questioning.

He explained that he would convey to the public through the media crew regarding the woman's confession in the video about "pesugihan" and victimization which is now viral on social media.

"We'll let you know later," he said.

The investigation into the case, he continued, was led by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebayoran Lama Police and the Police Post in Pondok Indah.

Previously, a video circulating containing a woman's confession through the TikTok account @dinskidiary was uploaded around Monday, June 28.

The woman in the video reveals her experience based solely on conversations via WhatsApp messages allegedly with the event organisers.

The event organizer, continued the woman, offered her a job to host a client's birthday event in the Pondok Indah area on May 19, 2021.

The woman, whose identity is not yet known, also completes the background in the video upload with evidence of snippets of conversation via WhatsApp messages with the event organizers.

However, from the conversation process, he expressed his suspicions and there were irregularities with the birthday party because there would be a "pesugihan" ritual with young men being sacrificed.

There are five videos with a duration of about 60 minutes uploaded on the TikTok application. Then, on Wednesday, June 30, the account re-uploaded two videos with the same content.

Not only on TikTok, the woman in the video also gave the same confession through the Youtube account, Ramadhini Sari.

In an upload on Youtube, the woman shared the same confession that initially received an offer to host the show around April 2021.

However, the woman did not explain in full, including whether to accept or reject the offer, but instead presented it in the form of a serial video.
