14 Million Bulk Of Sinovac Vaccine Coming Again, Now Indonesia Has 105 Million Vaccine Doses

JAKARTA - Indonesia is back with the arrival of a vaccine today. A total of 8 million doses of Sinovac vaccine from China arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport.

Sinovac vaccine in bulk form or raw materials arrived at the airport at around 12.30 WIB, packed using containers. These tens of millions of doses of the COVID-19 vaccine represent the eighteenth delivery of the vaccine.

"The total vaccine raw materials from Sinovac that have come to us are 105 million doses of vaccine," said Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin when welcoming the arrival of the vaccine, broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat Youtube, Wednesday, June 30.

Minister of Health Budi asserted, 14 million doses of vaccine that came today are still in the form of raw materials. That is, there needs to be a production process into ready-to-use materials by PT Bio Farma.

"It takes about a month to process at Bio Farma to become a ready-to-use vaccine. From this 105 million, there will be 85 million ready-made vaccines that we can use and it will be ready one month after now," said Budi.

That way, by early August, Indonesia will have 85 million doses of Sinovac vaccine ready for use.

Currently, there are 28,304,774 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 13,329,738 of the second dose of vaccination. Yesterday, more than one million people in Indonesia received a vaccine shot in one day.

This is done to meet the target given by President Joko Widodo. In July, Jokowi targeted one million people to be vaccinated per day. Then, Jokowi gave a vaccination target in August to reach two million doses per day.
