The National Police Will Implement A Restriction And Mobility Control Scheme In 316 Red Zone Points

JAKARTA - The National Police's Korlantas will implement a restriction and control scheme for the mobility of 316 points throughout Indonesia that are included in the red zone. This effort was made to support the policy of the implementation of micro-scale Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

Kakorlantas Inspector General Istiono said the implementation of this mobility restriction and control scheme was modeled on the Polda Metro Jaya. Because, this scheme is considered effective in preventing crowds.

"Hopefully the maximum efforts that have been built by the Polda Metro Jaya are also followed by all ranks in Indonesia, especially the red zones. 316 points have also been built, as has been done by Polda Metro Jaya. And it is hoped that this step will continue and as a whole, it is hoped that these efforts can break the chain of the spread of COVID-19," said Istiono in his statement, Wednesday, June 30.

This mobility restriction and control scheme has proven to be effective based on the results of an evaluation conducted by the Polda Metro Jaya. Because, since the scheme was implemented, there are no longer crowds at vital objects.

"I think this is a step for the Metro Police, Dirlantas to take steps to minimize community activities, especially vital crowd points, which can cause the transmission of COVID-19 to get out of control. This is running effectively," said Istiono.

Furthermore, Istiono described 316 points that would implement restrictions and mobility controls. This scheme is implemented starting from the Riau Islands Police (Kepri) to the North Maluku Police (Malut).

The following are the locations of restrictions and control of citizen mobility during PPKM;

1. Riau Islands Police: 14 points

2. Polda Kep. Babylon: 28 dots

3. Lampung Police: 35 points

4. Polda Metro Jaya: 35 points

5. Central Java Police: 80 points

6. South Kalimantan Police: 13 points

7. NTB Regional Police: 32 points

8. Polda Malut: 42 points

9. East Java Regional Police: 3 points

10. DIY Police: 5 points

11. Banten Police: 24 points

12. Bali Police: 5 points
