Supported By NU, Ambitious PKB Ranks Second In The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin is so ambitious that his party can occupy second place in the upcoming 2024 Election.

This is because the assumption is that currently PKB continues to have a positive trend in various survey institutions. In fact, he claims that PKB is already at the top with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Gerindra Party and Golkar Party.

Responding to this, the Chairman of the PKB DPP Daniel Johan, said that the management and cadres are ready to realize the general chairman's target.

"It's very possible (second place, red)," said Daniel, Tuesday, June 29.

The West Kalimantan legislator is also optimistic because his party has strong enough capital in the 2019 election. At that time, said Daniel, PKB managed to sit in fourth position with 13,570,097 votes or 9.69 percent of the national vote.

"This means that the PKB just has to continue this positive trend," he said.

In addition, the Deputy Chairman of Commission IV of the DPR revealed that party supporting factors such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and party sympathizers became increasingly solid in supporting PKB. In fact, he said, cadres from the center to the regions were so enthusiastic about building parties towards the 2024 General Election.

"The existing cultural roots of support are getting more solid, it's just a matter of how to expand the support of other figures and grassroots," said Daniel.

Daniel said that currently PKB is expanding its influence and role to the community. One of them is to approach and provide political channels for millennials.

Because millennials, he added, will determine victory in the 2024 General Election. He said the percentage is 60 percent of all vote holders in the next election.

"PKB has a general chairman who can be a role model for the younger generation," said Daniel.
