Short Of Breath And Fever, Deputy Chairman Of The KPK, Nurul Ghufron, Is Positive For COVID-19, Now Self-isolating At Home

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Nurul Ghufron, has been confirmed positive for COVID-19. Nurul Ghufron is currently self-isolating at home.

"Yes, my PCR test results are positive for COVID-19. Please pray for a speedy recovery", said Ghufron to reporters, Monday, June 28.

According to the doctor who examined him, he was in a moderate to mild condition. So, Ghufron was asked to self-isolate at home.

He said he is currently in a stable condition although he had shortness of breath and fever.

Ghufron gave a message to the public to always obey health protocols for mutual safety in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Avoid activities in public areas that are not very important even in green areas. Because after all, it will cause a commotion even though this is all for the safety and lives of all of us", he said.

Previously, as many as 36 KPK employees at the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution were infected with COVID-19.

As a result, activities in the deputy were limited to two days from June 23 to June 25. Although limited, activities that have been previously scheduled will still be carried out by strict health protocols.

In addition, the KPK has limited the work portion of its employees in the office.

"The physical presence system uses a proportion of 25 percent working from the office or BDK and 75 percent working from home or study from home", KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, told reporters, Thursday, June 24.

For employees who work in offices, the anti-corruption commission applies eight hours of work. With provisions, Monday to Thursday from 08.00 to 17.00 WIB. Meanwhile, on Friday from 08.00 to 17.30 WIB.

"KPK remains and continues to remind all employees to continue to carry out health protocols correctly and responsibly", said Ali.
