Arriving In Jakarta, 176 TNI Health Officers Strengthen The Handling Of COVID-19 At Wisma Atlet And Nagrak Flats

JAKARTA - A total of 176 health personnel from the Career Soldier Officer (Pa PK) arrived in Jakarta to assist the process of handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, they will be deployed to three different places, namely the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Nagrak Flats, and Pasar Rumput Flats.

"The arrival of this student officer is in addition to health workers to be assigned to the Jakarta area which still requires health workers, especially at the Athlete House and the special isolation area for the Asymptomatic People (OTG) of the Nagrak Flat and the Grass Market Flat which are also prepared," said the Head of the Penum Puspen TNI Marine Colonel. (KH) Edys Riyanto in his written statement, Monday, June 28.

These health workers arrived at Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Base this morning and departed using two Hercules A-1328 and A-1335 aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force from Adi Sucipto Air Base Yogyakarta.

The hundreds of officer student health workers sent to Jakarta consisted of 120 general practitioners, 20 dentists, 8 nursing staff, and 12 pharmacists.

In addition, there are 4 health workers from the physiotherapy department, 2 radiology personnel, 1 environmental health worker, 4 nutritionists, 1 electro-medical person, 1 dental nurse, 2 medical analyzers, and 1 medical record.

To ensure that all these health workers are in good health and ready to be deployed, Edys said, a thorough medical examination has been carried out. Including a swab test to make sure they are free of COVID-19.

"Before leaving for Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, all students carry out an antigen swab test first at the Magelang Military Academy to ensure that they are in good condition and have no indication of the COVID-19 virus," he concluded.
