Circulating Summons Of Nikita Mirzani To Be A Suspect, Police: No Status Determination

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police confirmed that artist Nikita Mirzani has not been a suspect in the alleged defamation case against Indra Tarigan's report in March 2019.

"No suspect status has been determined," said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police Commissioner Achmad Akbar, in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, June 28.

According to him, the investigation team has not yet conducted a case to determine the status of the alleged defamation case that dragged Nikita Mirzani.

"We are still in the process of gathering the necessary information and evidence, so everything is still ongoing," he added.

He confirmed that there were reports of defamation carried out through social media.

The report was submitted by Indra Tarigan in March 2019 at the Polda Metro Jaya and transferred to the South Jakarta Police on April 29, 2019.

Considering that the report is old and there has been no case title for the determination of the suspect, Achmad explained that the case is related to social media so that it requires digital analysis in a short time.

"The reported incidents are related to social media. It means that our evidence must be 'scientific'. Digital forensics and this of course also cannot be done in a short time," he said.

Previously, a photo of a summons to Nikita Mirzani was circulated to be heard in the capacity as a suspect in a defamation case through electronic media, on Monday, June 21.

The letter was signed by the former Head of the South Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Jimmy Christian Samma, who has now been transferred to the Head of the Central Tapanuli Police.

However, the photo of the letter does not yet have the usual letter number as proof of registration.
