Anies Has Been Vaccinated Using AstraZeneca

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan admitted that he had received an injection of the COVID-19 vaccination. Anies was injected using the AstraZeneca brand of vaccine which is produced from the UK.

"I've been (vaccinated) please. I was vaccinated against AstraZeneca," said Anies in the Central Jakarta area, Monday, June 28.

Unlike other regional heads who are the first to receive vaccinations in their respective regions, Anies has only recently received vaccinations.

The use of AstraZeneca is included in the second and third stages of vaccination, targeting public service workers and vulnerable communities up to the age of 18 years and over.

There is a reason why Anies has just been injected with a vaccine, namely because he has been confirmed positive for COVID-19. Anies was declared exposed to the corona virus since November 30, 2020.

This result follows the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, who previously tested positive since Friday, November 27, 2020.

As long as he is positive for COVID-19, Anies is self-isolating at his official home and following the treatment procedures set by the medical team. He claimed to be in good condition during isolation.

While undergoing isolation, Anies was visited by his family. Through uploading photos in the account of his wife, Fery Farhati, the presence of the family visited Anies in order to release the longing. The window that limited the meeting did not prevent Anies and his family from treating their longing.

It was noted that Anies was positive for COVID-19 for one month, longer than the average COVID-19 infection. Anies was declared cured of corona as of December 29, 2020. He was unable to take part in the first vaccination program last January.
