KSB Goes Crazy In Yahukimo Papua: Killed 4 People Including Obaja Nang Village Head, 7 Crenoma Employees Attacked

PAPUA - Armed Civilian Group (KSB) is going crazy in Bingki Village, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua. A total of 7 employees of PT Papua Crenoma who were carrying out the construction of a bridge in Kali Wit were attacked.

"Indeed, there are reports that seven employees of PT Crenoma have arrived in Swator, Asmat Regency, but to make sure they are still waiting for the members' reports," said Korem 172/PWY Commander Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan in Jayapura as reported by Antara, Friday, June 25.

The attack case that occurred on Thursday, June 24, is known to have started with the shooting of a truck belonging to PT. Crenoma in Kali Wit, Bingki Village, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency.

In addition to shooting at a truck transporting materials belonging to PT Crenoma, KSB also attacked civilians who were building houses in Bingki Village, killing four workers and the village head, Obaja Nang.

Employees of PT Crenoma reportedly fled by using a motorboat or ketinting down the river until they arrived safely at Swator.

The fate of the other employees is not yet known with certainty because members have difficulty getting to the location other than it is about four hours away from Dekai and must cross a river which is currently reported to be overflowing.

"Members of the joint TNI-Polri are currently trying to collect data related to the incident and at the same time rescue residents who are also employees who were reportedly trying to save themselves and were scattered," Pangemanan said.
