JAKARTA - The panel of judges at the East Jakarta Court will read out the verdict of the swab test case at the UMMI Hospital in Bogor with the defendant Rizieq Shihab, Thursday, June 24 tomorrow.

Previously, Rizieq was sentenced to 6 years in prison for violating the primary charge, namely Article 14 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning the Criminal Law Regulation in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st.

A number of names of figures were dragged into the reading of the defense memorandum or pleas, ranging from former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto, Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Budi Gunawan, former National Police Chief Tito Karnavian to former PKPI General Chair Diaz Hendropriyono.

Especially for Diaz, Rizieq accused him of being involved in the massacre of 6 special laskars of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) in December 2020.

In addition to praising the prosecutors and judges, Rizieq also gave a positive assessment to the figure of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo for treating him well during his detention at the National Police Headquarters prison. "Rizieq also asked that the prosecutor who he often attacked in court did not hold a grudge against him. Rizieq admitted that during the trial he and the prosecutor often attacked each other and knocked each other down and sometimes even said stupid, stupid, unreasonable, disrespectful, shallow words But it's normal in court, don't take it to heart," explained Ade Armando.

Most surprising was when Rizieq admitted that he did not deserve to be called the high priest of Muslims. As an ordinary manusir, continued Ade Armando, Rizieq admitted that there were still many shortcomings and mistakes made so that he did not deserve to be called a high priest.
