JAKARTA - The ranks of the DKI Provincial Government and the DKI DPRD held a plenary meeting in commemoration of the 494th anniversary of the City of Jakarta. The meeting was held at the DKI DPRD Building.

Chairman of the DKI DPRD Prasetio Edi Marsudi gave a speech. After giving his speech, Prasetio pinned a rhyme for DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan specifically on the commemoration of the DKI Jakarta Anniversary.

"I have a poem for the Governor," said Prasetio before closing his remarks at the plenary meeting at the DKI DPRD Building, Tuesday, June 22.

"Buy steel at Carita Beach, rehabilitate a house. It's okay to have dreams, but first solve problems in Jakarta," said Prasetio.

Prasetio's rhyme was greeted with applause. A number of DPRD members who were present at the meeting also greeted them with laughter that could be heard in the room.

Previously, in his remarks, Prasetio considered the theme of smoothing the 494th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta with "Jakarta Rise" as an effort by Jakarta and all its citizens to organize the economy, social life and sustainable development.

To support this, he said, there needs to be an economic arrangement by accelerating the provision and improvement of strategic infrastructure facilities and infrastructure.

"The board really hopes that the community will increase their participation and concern for the implementation of development, and always maintain and preserve the results that have been realized," said Prasetio.

However, Prasetio realizes that the supervisory function of DKI Jakarta parliamentarians has not been able to satisfy the public in absorbing their aspirations.

"However, we are determined to improve the duties of this council to make it better. Meanwhile, one of the duties of the council is the DPRD recess activity, in order to absorb the aspirations of the people by visiting constituents in their respective constituencies," he continued.
