Cirebon Goes Crazy, 35 Of The 40 Red Zone Districts COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Cirebon Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force, West Java, revealed that 35 of the 40 sub-districts in the area are in the red zone, four orange and one yellow zone. In fact, every day the average addition of cases is above 150 people.

"It's true, as many as 35 sub-districts in Cirebon Regency are in the red zone," said Head of the Cirebon Regency Health Office, Eni Suhaeni in Cirebon, as reported by Antara, Monday, June 21.

According to him, based on the results of the evaluation of the Cirebon Regency COVID-19 Task Force, out of 40 sub-districts, only one is in the yellow zone, while the other four are in the orange zone.

He said the last week the spread of COVID-19 had increased significantly, where every day it was above 150 people, even on Sunday (20/6) 2021 it reached 228 people.

"Additionally confirmed positive for COVID-19, every day the average is more than 150 people," said Eni Suhaeni emphasized.

Meanwhile, Mundu Subdistrict Head Anwar Sadat said Mundu Subdistrict, Cirebon Regency, is currently one of 35 subdistricts that are included in the red zone for the spread of COVID-19.

"From the information we received, it is in the red zone, but the spread of COVID-19 in villages is still under control," he said.

He said an employee at the Mundu District Office was confirmed positive for COVID-19, for that administrative services were temporarily closed until the results of the swab test came out.

According to him, the decision to close administrative services to minimize the spread of COVID-19, besides that all employees in the sub-district also underwent a swab test, because they were in close contact.

"There are 20 employees who took the swab test, and when the results come out, the service will also be reopened," said Anwar Sadat.
