Some Questions Can't Be Answered Ghufron, Komnas HAM Waits For Other KPK Leaders

JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) is still waiting for the presence of four leaders and the Secretary General of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) until the end of June. This was done because there were still unanswered questions by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron.

Ghufron became the representative of the KPK leadership to clarify allegations of human rights violations during the TWK process. The KPK argued that this was done because all decisions related to the transfer of employee status were carried out in a collegial collective manner.

However, the questions raised by investigators from Komnas HAM turned out not only to touch on decisions that were determined jointly but also the role of each party, including the five KPK leaders. Thus, there are a number of questions that Ghufron cannot answer.

"There are several question constructions that are not collegial collective areas, but areas that are contributed by individual leaders. So there were some questions that Pak Ghufron could not answer because they were other leaders," said Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation of Komnas HAM Mohammad Choirul Anam told reporters at his office, Jalan Latuharhary, Central Jakarta, Thursday, June 17.

Furthermore, Komnas HAM did provide an opportunity for the leadership and the Secretary General of the KPK to attend to provide clarification. However, this institution will not make a recall but wait for their awareness to attend until the end of next month.

"Never mind, we don't need to call again. We just give it a chance. If you want to come, we will accept it until the end of this month until we close the case," he said.

"The thing is, if you wait for another call and stuff, it will take a lot of time and harm us all," added Anam.

Previously, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, had been questioned by Komnas HAM from 10.30 WIB until around 15.00 WIB. He admitted that he had provided an explanation regarding the legal basis for implementing TWK which was a condition for the transfer of employee status.

Not only that, he also explained the implementation of TWK to the inauguration of thousands of employees who had passed.

"So we explained to Komnas HAM regarding legal standing, the legal basis for authority, then regulatory policies, and the implementation of the transfer of KPK employees to ASN which was carried out on June 1, 2021," said Ghufron.

For information, the National Insight Test was attended by 1,351 KPK employees. Of these, 1,274 people were declared eligible.

Meanwhile, 75 employees including senior investigator Novel Baswedan, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum who is also investigator Yudi Purnomo, Director of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign Giri Suprapdiono, Head of the KPK Task Force Harun Al-Rasyid, and Director of PJKAKI Sujarnarko who will retire, were also declared ineligible ( TMS). While the other two employees did not attend the interview test.

According to the employees who took this test, there were a number of irregularities in the implementation of the assessment. Including the questions asked by the assessor or assessor during the interview process.

The employees said the questions asked during the TWK process violated the private sphere. These irregularities were later reported by dozens of these employees to Komnas HAM, Komnas Perempuan, to the Indonesian Ombudsman.
