Mystery Causes Of Individual Police To Shoot Wives And Members Of The TNI In South Sulawesi

JAKARTA - A police officer with the initials Bripka H shot his wife and a TNI member in Jeneponto, South Sulawesi.

Head of Public Relations for the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, confirmed the incident. However, he did not want to comment on the chronology until the cause of the incident. The reason is to keep the situation from getting hotter.

"It is true that there was a shooting incident, but we apologize for not giving the chronology of the incident because it is to protect the sensitivity of the situation," Tompo told VOI, Friday, May 15.

Tompo only explained that the two victims, namely the wife of Bripka H and a member of the TNI Serda H, were being treated at the hospital. But it was not explained how badly the injuries suffered by the two.

"His wife (Bripka H) and another man (Serda H) are being treated," said Tompo.

Meanwhile, Bripka H, who was the perpetrator of the shooting, was arrested. The man who served at Polrestabes Makassar is currently undergoing an examination.

"If the perpetrator has been secured by Provos. Currently being investigated," said Tompo.

The alleged affair issue

The absence of an explanation regarding the cause and chronology of the shooting incident, raises a negative issue. A growing issue is that there is an allegation of an affair between Serda H and Bripka H.'s wife.

However, this issue cannot be proven because the police are still closing the information meeting.

Tompo only conveyed that members of the two institutions remain calm and not be provoked by this shooting incident.

Meanwhile, the case of the shooting has been handled by the Police and the TNI to show that these two institutions are united to resolve the problem.

"We solve it objectively so there is no organizational problem," said Tompo.
