JAKARTA - Warganet criticized celebgram and Youtuber Indira Kalistha on social media. Many regretted Indira's attitude for underestimating the transmission of COVID-19 and not following government recommendations to maintain cleanliness during a pandemic like this.

Indira's statement, which received a lot of criticism, was made when she was a guest speaker in the Gritte Agatha video upload. This interview video was uploaded on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

"I rarely wear masks. I use sheet masks (beauty masks) every day, yes. I don't use masks that filter the air, unless I'm reprimanded," said Indira, quoted by VOI, Friday, May 15.

"But, if I'm not reprimanded, I will open (the mask) again. This is my breath, unfortunately (if) it is closed. It is tight, chest. When I go to the mall, go to the market, I touch. For example, after buying an online motorcycle taxi, I "Don't wash your hands first, then eat. So, take all kinds of things, just eat with your hands," he continued, followed by a laugh from Gritte.

This remark caused a lot of criticism on social media. One of the criticisms was the Twitter account @putpuwi, which embedded a video clip of Indira's statement.

Social media observer Eddy Yansen agrees with warganet's criticism of Indira. Eddy considered Indira's statement inappropriate for an influencer to make.

Although there was no sentence urging him not to wear a mask and not wash his hands, Indira's statement was dangerous. Because, statements about how Indira reacts to COVID-19 can indirectly affect the minds of her followers.
