North Nias Regional Secretary Threatened To Be Dismissed Because Of A Drug Party With Women At Karaoke Tempat

MEDAN - North Nias Regional Secretary (Sekda), YN (57) is in danger of being removed from his position after being arrested by the Medan Police during a drug party in Medan.

This was conveyed by the Regent of North Nias, Amizaro Waruwu. He emphasized that if found guilty, the YN Secretary would be removed.

"If it is proven that we will remove it. This is the beginning and the end, don't repeat it again," said Amizaro, Monday, June 14.

Currently, said Amizaro, his party has sent the Head of the North Nias Communications and Information Office to ascertain the legal issues that ensnared YN.

"We received the information and today we have sent our Head of the Communications and Informatics Service to the Medan Polrestabes to get certainty about the process he is facing," said Amizaro.

"Obviously we as the local government, the regent deeply regret the incident. This means that behavior does not need to be imitated," he continued.

A total of 71 people were arrested during a drug party at a nightclub on Jalan Adam Malik, Medan City, Sunday, June 13. One of them is the Regional Secretary of North Nias Regency with the initials YN (57).

Medan Police Chief Kombes Riko Sunarko said the arrests were made at around 01.00 WIB. Initially the police received information that karaoke places were still open.

Regarding the involvement of the North Nias Secretary, YN, said Riko was arrested while in room 202. There he was with his colleagues consisting of 3 men and 3 women.

"Until now we are investigating (its involvement). The urine result is positive (drugs)," said Riko.

When secured, said Riko also confiscated evidence of drugs. "There is one remaining ecstasy," said Riko.

However, regarding YN's status, Riko has not disclosed it. The inspection process is still ongoing.

"Until now, we are still investigating if there is an increase in status, we will convey it to our media partners," said Kombes Riko.
