JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto revealed that ministers and their assistants in the Red and White Cabinet worked hard for 21 months of government. So much so that the work was so intense that a number of ministers were said to have had to undergo treatment in hospital due to exhaustion.

This was conveyed by Prabowo in a speech at the MPR Annual Session at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 14.

Prabowo said that his government has been running for 21 months or about 663 days since he took the oath of office as President. According to him, during this period the government has begun to solve various national issues that have been considered difficult for years.

"Today, 21 months since I took the oath, I am back before this assembly. I am back to convey what we have done, what we have begun to see the results of, and what we still have to finish," said Prabowo.

He admitted that not all of the nation's problems and promises made at the beginning of the government could be completed. However, Prabowo assessed that the government had shown results through the courage to make decisions, hard work, and orientation on the interests of the people.

"I can't say that all the problems of the nation have been resolved, or that all the promises I made have been fulfilled. Not yet. But in less than two years, we have proven that with the courage to make decisions, with hard work based on a sincere heart, a clear will, an orientation to the people, and with mutual cooperation of all elements of the nation," he said.

According to Prabowo, during the 21 months or 663 days of government, as many as 121 transformative policies have been decided and implemented to address various state issues.

"This means that we can say that we have decided on a transformative policy every 5 days," he said.

The hard work, said Prabowo, also had an impact on the physical condition of a number of ministers and their assistants. He said some of them had to go to the hospital, undergo surgery, and even fainted due to exhaustion.

"That's how hard my ministers and my assistants have worked. Some of them had to go to the hospital, some fainted, some had surgery, many were exhausted," said Prabowo.

Prabowo then promised to give more rest time to his ministers in the remaining period of his administration.

He emphasized that the hard work was a form of the government's seriousness in carrying out the mandate given by the people.

"According to my assistants in my calendar there is no red day. What I want to say is that we accept this trust with great honor. The task of the people is a noble honor for us. Therefore, we will work as hard as possible, we will work tirelessly for the people and our nation," he concluded.
