BNN arrests drug kingpin in Kampung Bahari, owner of 98 kg of drugs in beauty salon

JAKARTA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) RI arrested a drug lord who owned 98 kilograms of methamphetamine in Bahari Village, North Jakarta.

Director of Enforcement and Pursuit of the BNN's Anti-Corruption Division, Brigadier General Roy Hardi Siahaan, explained that the arrest was made on Wednesday (12/8) at around 20.09 WIB.

"We followed the person from Kampung Bahari to the outside to Mangga Besar and then we caught him in one of the beauty salons and now we have secured him at BNN," said Brigadier General Roy as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 13.

He said the drug lord with 98 kg of methamphetamine seized was a fugitive related to a drug case on November 7, 2025 on behalf of MR or 'Fat Boss'.

He revealed that in addition to 98 kg of methamphetamine, there were also firearms, gold bars, samurai, bullets, and other evidence seized from MR.

Roy said his party had also arrested two loyalists around the scene of the crime (TKP) of the operation.

He said that at first the two loyalists had resisted so that the members of the National Police who carried out the raid suffered injuries to the lower part of the eye.

"However, we will still carry out operations against Kampung Bahari because there are still several people who are still hiding besides the Fat Boss who we have secured," he said.

He also admitted that so far he did not know the relationship between the two loyalists with the 'Fat Boss' so it would be investigated in the investigation process.

However, from the arrest of the two loyalists in question around the crime scene, the BNN RI also secured evidence in the form of a Vespa motorcycle and a car.

The seizure of several pieces of evidence was carried out on Thursday (13/8) at around 06.00 WIB and the case development of the pursuit of assets of money laundering (TPPU) from the case was carried out, which was worth Rp. 39.5 billion and Rp. 1.27 billion in cash.
