Duet Attacks Iraqi PMF, Trump Meets Saudi Defense Minister

JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump met with Saudi Arabia's Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, Wednesday (29/7) to discuss the military conflict with Iran.

The Trump administration hosted senior defense and intelligence officials from Israel and Saudi Arabia in Washington this week to consult on Iran. The meeting took place amid White House deliberations on launching a military strike.

"President Trump met with Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman," a US official said. "The Saudi Defense Minister conveyed a message from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) to Trump regarding the war with Iran and the escalation of tensions in the region," wrote Axios journalist Barak Ravid on the X platform, as reported by ANTARA from Sputnik, Thursday, July 30.

Previously, Ravid reported that Prince Khalid and US Vice President J.D. Vance discussed escalating tensions in the Middle East after the latest attack launched by US and Saudi Arabia joint forces into Iraq.

Previously, on Tuesday (28/7), the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the United States and Saudi Arabia had launched a precision attack in Iraq targeting three people suspected of being "terrorists" linked to Iran.

It was reported that 20 people were killed and 32 others were injured after US and Saudi forces launched a joint attack on logistics and weapons sites linked to Iran in Iraq.

This Lapooran was delivered via Telegram by the Iranian-backed Iraqi paramilitary, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).

As reported by CNN, Wednesday, July 29, the attack targeted PMF facilities in Baghdad, Wasit, Nineveh, Basra, Kirkuk, Karbala, and Diyala provinces, said the PMF, which resulted in damage of varying severity to a number of military bases, vehicles, and equipment.
