Xiaomi Skynomad with 76 kWh Battery Offers 505 Kilometers of Electric Range

JAKARTA - Xiaomi is preparing the Skynomad EREV SUV series with an electric range of up to 505 kilometers based on the CLTC standard. The figure applies to the variant using a ternary NMC battery with a capacity of 76 kWh made by CALB.

CarNewsChina quoted Thursday, July 16, saying the Skynomad lineup consists of a five-seat N70 and a six-seat N90. The highest model, the N90, is scheduled to debut at the Chengdu International Motor Show on August 21, 2026.

Xiaomi states that the NMC 76 kWh battery will be used in the Skynomad range. The variant with the battery is claimed to be able to travel up to 505 kilometers on electric power based on CLTC testing in China.

However, the basic N70 variant is noted to use a 52 kWh LFP battery made by Sunwoda. The model has an electric range of 270 kilometers based on the WLTC.

Previously, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology or MIIT noted that the Skynomad N70 has an electric range of 370 to 380 kilometers based on the WLTC, depending on its drive system. The Skynomad N90 has a range of 363 kilometers based on the same standard.

CLTC and WLTC are vehicle mileage testing methods with different testing patterns.

The 76 kWh battery made by CALB weighs around 400 kilograms. The NMC battery uses nickel, manganese, and cobalt as main materials, while LFP uses lithium iron phosphate.

When the battery is depleted, the Skynomad N70 consumes 6.1 to 6.26 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. The N90 consumption reaches 6.28 liters per 100 kilometers.

Xiaomi has not revealed the fuel tank capacity of the two models.

Both the N70 and N90 use the 1.5-liter M15DRE engine made by Harbin Dongang, a subsidiary of Changan. The engine produces a peak power of 112 kW or 150 horsepower.

In an electric vehicle system with a range extender engine or EREV, the gasoline engine serves as a generator that supplies power to the battery.

The Skynomad N70 has a length of 4,960 millimeters, a width of 1,998 millimeters, and a height of 1,785 millimeters. The wheelbase reaches 2,950 millimeters.

The basic variant uses one electric motor on the rear wheel with 210 kW or 282 horsepower.

The all-wheel drive or AWD variant gets an additional 100 kW electric motor or 134 horsepower on the front wheels. The combined power reaches 310 kW or 416 horsepower and is combined with a 76 kWh battery.

Skynomad N90 is larger in size. It is 5,285 millimeters long, 1,998 millimeters wide, and 1,825 millimeters high.

The model comes standard with two electric motors with a combined output of 310 kW or 416 horsepower.

According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi Auto's sales reached 185,055 units in the first half of 2026. The figure was up 17.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

Xiaomi is targeting 550,000 units sold by 2026.
