In Iran, President Masoud Pezeshkian reportedly signed a memorandum with the US, according to photos published by the Iranian Government media, IRNA.
Photos released by IRNA showed President Pezeshkian holding a document written in Farsi, with a signature that appears to be his and President Trump's at the bottom.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei, in an interview with state television station IRIB, said the US-Iran memorandum was signed in English and Farsi at Tehran's insistence for transparency purposes.
"This represents the highest level of transparency in our public communications," he said.
"If the text is only in English, there may be subjective or different translations," he added.
Baghaei said the Farsi text was in line with the English version and Iran considered it "fully authoritative and valid."
The memorandum of understanding, which consists of 14 points, aims to extend the ceasefire and continue traffic flows through the Strait of Hormuz.
Separately, Pakistan, which has played a mediation role throughout the conflict, said the understanding would come into effect immediately.
