JAKARTA - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said repeated violations of the ceasefire by the United States, conflicting messages, and changing demands had undermined diplomatic efforts.

"The process of diplomacy does not take place in a vacuum," Baghaei said, quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Wednesday, June 10.

"To advance every negotiation or diplomacy process, a sufficiently conducive condition is needed so that diplomacy can run," he said, adding.

Baghaei accused the US of interfering with the diplomatic track through contradictory messages, changing attitudes and repeated demands, as well as violations of the ceasefire.

"Unfortunately, the United States, through the contradictory messages it has conveyed, repeated changes in its position and demands, and worst of all, repeated violations of the ceasefire, has undermined the diplomatic process," he said.

Baghaei also accused Israel of hindering diplomacy through repeated violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon.

"Any diplomatic process will be harmed by the use of force and unlawful actions," he said.

Baghaei added that Iran would review the conditions surrounding the upcoming negotiations based on the latest developments, but he did not provide further details.
