TABANAN - President Prabowo Subianto gave a special message to a student of the Tabanan 17 Primary People's School (SRMP), Bali, who admitted that he had been the target of ridicule.

Prabowo asked the student not to be discouraged. According to the President, mockery is part of life that anyone can experience, including a president.

"Not to mention you, I've been mocked. Until now. The president was also mocked," said Prabowo when he had a dialogue with students, Sunday (7/6).

Prabowo said that one should not lose confidence just because he was treated badly by others.

"Yang penting hatimu teguh. Hati kita baik. Kalau kita diejek, kita balas dengan sopan santun," ujarnya.

The President also reminded that mockery should not be answered with hatred.

"The more you are insulted, the more you are firm. The more courageous. The more polite," said Prabowo.

On that occasion, he encouraged students from poor families not to give up in the face of the situation.

"Many people have managed to come from very poor families. But his son does not want to give up, does not want to despair," he said.

According to Prabowo, the difficulties of life should not be an excuse to stop dreaming and learning.

"In the midst of difficulties, look for the good. There will definitely be good things coming," said the President.
