Ahead of the PBNU National Congress on June 20-21, Gus Ipul Checks the Readiness of Ploso Kediri

JAKARTA - The General Manager of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) has finalized the preparations for the national muwasarah (munas) of scholars and the large conference (konbes) which will be held at Pondok Pesantren Al Falah, Ploso Village, Mojo District, Kediri Regency, East Java, 20-21 June 2026.

Secretary General of PBNU Saifullah Yusuf said that intensive communication was carried out between PBNU and Al Falah Kediri Islamic Boarding School, as the location for the munas and konbes.

"We are very grateful to all the Gus-Gus here, all the students here have prepared well and this certainly relieves the Nahdlatul Ulama general manager. We also just asked for prayers that everything will go smoothly and now we are also to mature all the technical preparations," he said at the Al Falah Pesantren Kediri Regency, Saturday.

He also admitted that he came with a number of PBNU managers including Rais 'Aam to mature the preparation of the event at Al Falah Pesantren, Kediri Regency.

His party is grateful because the pesantren also supports this event. Facilities and facilities are also ready, including for other support needed to make the activity successful.

He also hopes that the activity can take place in an orderly and smooth manner. In the forum, preparations for the muktamar, which will be held in August 2026, will also be discussed.

"We ask for the blessing of the prayers of all the Nahdlatul Ulama congregation and all the people of Indonesia so that the process leading up to the muktamar in August will be smooth and blessed. I think that's the most important thing. The muktamar will be discussed at the time of the munas and konbes," said Gus Ipul, his nickname.

He also added that the location of the congress had not yet been decided, because it would be discussed in the congress and the conference. However, a number of regions claimed to be ready to host.

"Following the request of several regions that are ready to host the congress, we will discuss it at the upcoming munas and konbes," he said.

In the activity, Rais 'Aam PBNU K.H. Miftachul Akhyar, Deputy Rais 'Aam PBNU K.H. Anwar Iskandar and a number of other managers were also present.
