As reported on the Wikipedia page, Lodewyk Pusung was born in Manado, North Sulawesi, on September 27, 1960. He is from Paslaten, Kauditan, North Minahasa Regency and is known as the son of North Sulawesi who has climbed the career from the bottom to reach the most prestigious position in the TNI body.

Lodewyk completed his primary and secondary education before finally entering the Military Academy. His military education journey is long and consistent.

Lodewyk is a graduate of the 1985 Military Academy (Akmil) from the infantry branch. He then deepened his knowledge through a series of advanced education: Seskoad (1998), Sesko TNI (2008), to Lemhannas (2013).

Lodewyk's military career began in 1985 as Danton Yonif 507/Sikatan. He then held various strategic positions from battalion level to the TNI Headquarters level.

Lodewyk's track record in the field is also interesting. He has served in crucial operational areas such as East Timor, Papua, and Aceh, as well as carrying out assignments in a number of countries.

In 2014, Lodewyk served as Kasdam VI/Mulawarman, then Pangdivif 1/Kostrad in early 2015.

At its peak, Lodewyk was trusted to become the Commander of I/Bukit Barisan in August 2015 to February 2017. After that, he was appointed as the Assistant Operations (Asops) of the TNI Commander before finally retiring in 2018.

Lodewyk also recorded ownership of three cars (Toyota Kijang Innova, Honda HRV, and Toyota Fortuner) and one Kawasaki motorcycle, with a vehicle value of around IDR 796 million. Lodewyk reportedly has no debt at all.

MBG Corruption Case that Traps Lodewyk Pusung

The Attorney General's Office named Lodewyk Pusung as a suspect along with Dadan Hindayana and Sony Sonjaya on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The three are suspected of being involved in corruption in the management of the MBG program in 2025 to 2026.

According to the Director of Investigation of the Attorney General's Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, the SPPG partner foundation that was appointed turned out to be affiliated with BGN officials and did not meet the requirements as an official partner. However, it was still passed through the verification arrangement on the BGN partner portal. This alleged intervention is now the main subject of investigation.

It is worth noting that the MBG program itself has a very large budget, namely Rp. 85.27 trillion in 2025 and Rp. 268 trillion in 2026. All of these budgets come from the state budget. This figure makes this case one of the most highlighted by the public throughout this year.
