Police Arrest 2 Burglars of an Elderly Home in Cigadung Bandung

JAKARTA - The Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit team arrested two suspected perpetrators of violent theft with initials FZ and ADR at the home of an elderly person, in the Jalan Cigadung Raya Timur area, Cibeunying Kaler District, Bandung City.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bandung Police, AKBP Anton, said the incident occurred when the two perpetrators entered the victim's house in an unlocked condition.

"The perpetrators entered the victim's house whose door was not locked, on Thursday (21/5). They then threatened the victim by pointing a cutting knife at the victim's neck," said Anton in Bandung, Thursday, June 4, reported by ANTARA.

He explained that after threatening the victim, the perpetrators took a number of valuables in the form of one mobile phone and a motorcycle belonging to the victim before fleeing.

The victim then reported the incident to the police.

Following up on the report, officers conducted a crime scene investigation and investigation.

"As soon as we received the report, we immediately went to the location, conducted a crime scene investigation, and investigation. Alhamdulillah, in less than 24 hours, or the next day, Friday (22/5). We surrounded the two perpetrators," he said.

According to Anton, the police also managed to seize all the evidence of the crime, including the victim's motorcycle which had not yet been sold by the perpetrators.

From the results of the preliminary examination, the perpetrator had targeted the victim's house because he knew the victim was old and the house was easy to enter.

"The perpetrator had previously targeted the victim's house because he knew the victim was old and the door was not locked. They had brought a cutting knife before entering the house," he said.

He said that at present the two suspects have been detained to undergo further legal proceedings and his party is still investigating the possibility of the involvement of the two in similar crimes in other locations.
